Get To Know Dr. Ruhee Jaffer
Dr Ruhee Jaffer is an award-winning general and cosmetic dentist in Los Angeles California. Her passion is delivering the highest quality patient-centered care. She graduated at the top of her class from the prestigious University of Southern California. With her soothing, compassionate approach and unparalleled dental expertise, Dr. Jaffer and her team aim to pamper you from from the moment you step into Dentique.
Dr. Jaffer is committed to excellence and advancement of her field and is a clinical faculty member at the University of Southern California. She prides herself in attention to detail - incorporating innovative, cutting edge technology and technique into her care model. Prior to graduating with her doctorate, she completed research training at the National Institute of Health (NIH), and earned an Entrepreneurship Certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She completed her Bachelor of Science degrees in Dental Hygiene where she graduated as valedictorian, and also earned her degrees in Biological Sciences and Chemistry. During her doctorate she was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Over the years, Dr. Jaffer has served as an advocate for the California Dental Association and has received more than 20 distinctions and awards for leadership, clinical skills, and academia. Dr. Jaffer received the Robert E. Cruise Memorial Award, the California Dental Association Outstanding Student Award, the Donald Curnette Memorial Scholarship, the Albert & Grace Colby Scholarship, the Century Club Endowed Scholarship, and the University of Southern California Dental Journalistic Award and many more.
Dr. Jaffer was recently nominated by LA Works for the LA Civic Leadership and Impact Award. She has a special interest in community engagement, policy, advocacy, and public health. She founded the “Meno Project” to mobilize resources and clinicians to provide oral healthcare to underserved children in South Asia and East Africa. The “Meno” Project (Meno means “tooth” in Swahili) was specifically created to give oral healthcare access to orphanages in rural areas. Meno has served more than 1,300 children with hopes to have a larger impact in the years to come. Dr. Jaffer regularly volunteers her time at skid row with the Union Rescue Mission, John Wesley Community Health Center, and the University of Southern California Mobile Clinic to deliver care to low-income marginalized populations.
She absolutely loves spending time with her puppy Zeus, trying new restaurants and enjoying comedy shows with her husband Maleek, creative coffee shops, enjoying the beach, and traveling.

Your first visit at Dentique by Ruhee is meticulously designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. During your initial visit we aim to understand your oral health goals and your dental concerns, taking into account your lifestyle, nutrition, habits and wellness aspirations. Our comprehensive assessment includes a thorough examination, full digital intraoral scan, all necessary X-rays, microscope-guided plaque assessment and oral cancer screening. We will tailor a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your oral health objectives. You can trust that your initial experience with us will set the stage for a long-lasting relationship built on trust, honesty and exceptional care.
WHAT TO BRING
To help us provide you with the best possible care, please remember to bring your government-issued ID. Kindly complete all your new patient forms prior to your appointment. If applicable, please bring your dental insurance information. This will streamline the billing process and maximize your benefits. If you have any previous dental records or X-rays from another provider, feel free to bring them along. They can be valuable for reference and comparison. Additionally, it's helpful to have a list of any medications you're currently taking. This information can aid in assessing your overall health and ensuring safe dental treatments. We want your visit to be as efficient and comfortable as possible, so having these items on hand will ensure a smooth check-in process. For your convenience parking is validated by us for 90 minutes. The parking entrance is located at 900 N La Brea Ave.
